Manchester United chief executive David Gill says the club is unlikely to sign any players early in the summer.
The Red Devils have agreed a fee for Cardiff City youngster Aaron Ramsey, but Gill does not expect any other deals to take place in the near future. Instead, the club may wait until after Euro 2008 to make signings.
He said: "I don't know about expecting new additions before we set off on pre-season, but we expect something during the course of the summer.

"If you look at it traditionally when there is a big competition there is not a lot of activity going on when the competition is taking place.
"Quite rightly the players are concentrating on the competition and playing for their countries. The managers of those countries don't want distractions about transfers.
"It is likely more moves will happen after the tournament, so any new players wouldn't be with us on tour unless we do pull a rabbit out of the hat."
