Marlon Harewood wants to stay at Aston Villa and show the fans what he is capable of.
The striker has been linked with a number of clubs despite having two years remaining on his contract.
But Harewood is excited by Villa's young squad and plans to remain where he is.
"There's a lot more to come from this squad and hopefully a lot more to come from me. I want to play my part," he said.
good form
"I'm looking forward to my second season here and hopefully I can show more of what I can do and hopefully I'll get the chance to shine.
"The fans saw what I could do in the second half of last season and I just want to get out there and show my stuff again next season."
The good form of Gabriel Agbonlahor and John Carew meant that Harewwod was generally restricted to a place on the bench last season.
