New Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa can't wait to begin his Stamford Bridge career.
The Portugal full-back was signed from Porto last month, and new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari will be hoping he can provide a reliable option at right-back.
Scolari is leaving his job as Portugal coach and will take over Chelsea on 1st July. The prospect of working with the Brazilian tactician at club level excites Bosingwa.
"I am really looking forward to it (starting his career at Chelsea)," he said. "I spent five fantastic years at Porto but it was time for a change. The offer from Chelsea was impossible to refuse and all parties are happy.
good news
"It's great that Scolari will be there. He is a top level coach and I am happy to be able to work with him when he comes to Chelsea. For me it's good news - and for my new team-mates too."
Bosingwa was in impressive form as his side bowed out of Euro 2008 with a 3-2 defeat against Germany last Thursday.
The 25-year-old caught the eye with his regular forays up the wing. He was, though disappointed, at the way his side allowed Germany to go 2-0 ahead.
"Giving an advantage of two goals to Germany is almost saying goodbye to a match," he said. "We fought hard to get back in it and we nearly equalised, but we didn't have enough time."
