Big-spending Tottenham Hotspur are set to arrive at The Riverside Stadium on 16th August. The Londoners have not been afraid to splash the cash this summer, England international David Bentley their latest recruit in a £17million move from Blackburn Rovers.

"It's going to be a big test for us as Tottenham have brought in a lot of good players over the summer," Young said. 

"The whole pre-season is gearing towards the game against Spurs and in my mind that's what I've been looking at throughout all the training.

"You know that's what you're doing it for, the opening day."
