Arsene Wenger remains confident Arsenal can deliver when the action starts for real this week.
The Gunners were given a stern examination of their Champions League credentials by hosts Ajax at the Amsterdam Tournament, winning 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.
Wenger will now turn his attention towards Wednesday's Champions League qualification match against Steve McLaren's FC Twente as his side aim to successfully defend their Amsterdam Tournament title against Sevilla.
intense game
Wenger said: "We wanted an intense game, and I think Ajax gave us more than we wanted. They fought for every ball and played well.
"I don't know if our midfield was ideal, but it's certainly not far from the midfield we'll play Wednesday night."
The Gunners kick off their Barclays Premier League campaign at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
